Accumulate points each week by answering questions relating to the Survival of Survivor 38 - Edge of Extinction contestants.
At the end of the Final Tribal Council, the player in your Tribe with the most accumulated points WINS Fantasy Survivor.
2. Game Play
Each week you will be responsible making picks in five (5) categories based on predictable happenings on the show. Additionally,
at the beginning of the season, you will select a "Most Valuable Player" which is the Survivor you think will last the longest and
slot the most categories.
2.1 - ENTERING PICKS
You will be responsible for entering picks for each of five (5) categories. These picks are due NO LATER THAN
five (5) minutes prior to the start of the show in the Eastern Timezone. Traditionally, this has been on Thursday
evenings at 8:00 PM ET (5:00 PM PT). Picks open up at 5:00 AM ET (2:00 AM PT) the following day after the end of each episode. Thus, you have up to a week
at a time to enter your weekly picks.
2.2 - "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER" SELECTION
When making your picks, you are required to make a "Most Valuable Player" selection. Your selection will allow you to receive
"MVP Bonus Points" for that Episode. When selecting a "Most Valuable Player" selection, your points increase each Episode that your selection remains the same.
The "Most Valuable Player" point value is 10 points times the number of Episodes in a row that the selection has been made. Thus,
when you make a different "Most Valuable Player" selection than the prior Episode, then the point value will be reset back to 10 points for each category
that the selected player slots.
In the event a player fails to enter picks for any episode their MVP selection for that episode will default to a "No Pick" selection resulting in zero (0)
MVP points awarded for that episode. The player's MVP selection will also be reset to the starting value of 10 points for the next episode that picks are entered.
2.3 - WEEKLY PICK REMINDERS
You are ultimately responsible for entering your picks on time. Weekly email reminders
will be sent to you by the Fantasy Survivor TribeMaster, but it is your responsibility for entering your own picks.
If you are having difficulties entering your picks, you can contact your Tribal Commissioner and they can enter them for you.
2.4 - PICK CATEGORIES
The following are the five (5) categories that are to be considered when making your picks for each Episode...
1. Reward: Which Survivor will win or help participate in winning the Reward Challenge, if any.
2. Immunity: Which Survivor will win or help participate in winning the Immunity Challenge, if any.
3. Voted Off: Which Survivor will be voted out of their Tribe (or leave the show).
4. Safe: Which Survivor will NOT be voted out of their Tribe (or leave the show) during an episode.
5. Mystery Question
Each category will correspond to none, one or more than one of the remaining Survivors on the show.
If you do not enter your guesses for a given week, you will forfeit any Category Points for that week.
It is possible that NO Survivors will slot a category during a given episode.
Players who do not win a Reward challenge but are chosen to share in the Reward will NOT receive Reward Challenge points. For
Reward Challenges that are team-based, all members of that team will receive points for a Reward Challenge win. For Reward Challenges that are Tribe based,
all members of that Tribe will receive points for a Reward Challenge win, even those members that may have to sit out
the challenge for the purposes of balancing the teams. For Individual Reward Challenges,
only the first-place winner will be eligible to receive points unless otherwise noted on the show.
Immunity points will only be granted to players that participate in and win an Immunity Challenge. Immunity garnered by any other
means will not be scored for points. For Immunity Challenges that are Tribe based,
all members of that Tribe will receive points for an Immunity Challenge win, even those members that may have to sit out
the challenge for the purposes of balancing the teams.
For Individual Immunity Challenges, only the first-place winner will be eligible to receive points unless otherwise noted on the show.
The Mystery Question will be a different question each week. The answer to this question will relate to
none, one or more than one of the remaining Survivors. Additionally, unless specifically stipulated in the Mystery Question itself, Mystery Question answers do NOT include activities that occur during either
the Reward or Immunity Challenges.
2.4.1 - "NO PICK"
If you feel that no Survivor will slot a particular category, then you have the option of choosing "No Pick". If you select No Pick for a category
and no Survivor slots that category, you will be awarded the appropriate points. The No Pick selection is NOT applicable to the Safe category. There is
no limit the number of times that you can use the No Pick selection during the season.
2.4.2 - SURVIVOR AUCTIONS
Each season a Survivor Auction usually takes place where the players bid on items. Survivor Auctions
will be considered Reward Challenges. Points will be given to those players who are shown successfully winning an auction. If more than one person
combine funds to win an auction, they both will receive points, as long as each of the players share in the reward, otherwise, players that don't share in the
reward will not receive points. Only Auctions shown on the on-air broadcast of the television show will be considered eligible for points.
2.4.3 - OFFICIAL SCORING
The on-air broadcast of the television show will be the only evidence of record for scoring decisions. Items on web sites, commercial spots, etc.
will not be considered when making scoring decisions or judgement calls.
Activities broadcast during the "Previously on...Survivor" segment will not be scored for points. Additionally, activities broadcast during the "Next time on...Survivor" segment
will also not be scored for points.
2.5 - "SAFE" PICKS
For the "Safe" category, up to Episode 6, you may only pick the same Survivor ONCE.
After Episode 6, your safe picks are reset. From then on, you may only pick the same Survivor ONCE
for the rest of the Season.
There may be a point where you may not be able to make a "Safe" pick due to previous selections and natural elimination
of the Survivors each week. In this event, you will not receive any points for this category.
2.6 - MAKING PICKS FOR THE FINALE
The Season Finale of Survivor normally consists of a 2-hour program in which 2 Tribal Councils will
occur to determine the final 3 Survivors.
In the past, the WINNER of Survivor is revealed on the Reunion show. Typically, the Jury
votes for who they think should be crowned the Ultimate Survivor.
How does this relate to Fantasy Survivor?
For the Finale, you will be making picks for THREE (3) CONSECUTIVE TRIBAL COUNCILS.
These will be denoted as "Episode 13",
"Episode 14", and
Note that ALL THREE Episode Picks must be entered by the Picks deadline.
2.6.1 - QUESTIONS FOR FINAL TRIBAL COUNCIL
For the final "Tribal Council" or "Episode", you will simply pick who you will think will be voted by the jury to be the Ultimate Survivor.
This pick alone will be worth 500 POINTS.
If your selection has never been selected as a SAFE pick prior to the Finale, you will be awarded an additional 150 points.
2.7 - "REDEMPTION ISLAND" CLARIFICATIONS AND RULE MODIFICATIONS
In those seasons where the "Redemption Island" element occurs, the following clarifications and rule modifications shall be in effect and take
precedence over any other possible interpretations of the "traditional rules". Within such seasons, should the "Redemption Island" element NOT be
in effect during the ENTIRETY of a particular episode the "traditional rules" shall apply to that episode. Portions of the "traditional rules" not otherwise
specifically altered by these "Redemption Island" Clarifications and Rule Modifications including those pertaining to Survivors not exiled to
Redemption Island during a particular episode, shall remain in full force and effect.
2.7.1 - "REDEMPTION ISLAND" PICK CATEGORIES
"Voted Off" will be renamed to "Out of Game" and shall mean the Survivor who loses the Redemption Island challenge and is eliminated from the game and will be the
selection that is awarded the category points. Any Survivor who leaves the game during an episode due to medical evacuation, or by voluntarily quitting the game,
or by eviction by the CBS producers, will also be awarded points for the category. If in a particular episode no Survivor leaves the game either by Redemption
Island Challenge elimination or due to the other reasons noted, the "No Pick" selection will be awarded the category points for the episode.
Should a Survivor be sent to Redemption Island either by vote or by volunteering to "swap" positions with another Survivor already on Redemption Island,
for the episode that Survivor will be eligible to be awarded points for the various categories as follows:
1. Reward: Traditional rules apply.
2. Immunity: Traditional rules apply.
3. Out of Game: If the Survivor leaves the game either by Redemption Island Challenge elimination, or due to the other previously noted reasons.
4. Safe: Traditional rules apply.
5. Mystery Question: Traditional rules apply.
6. Most Valuable Player: Traditional rules apply.
2.8 - "EXILE ISLAND" PICK CATEGORIES
The rules shall be modified as noted in Articles 3.5 and 3.5.1 by reading “Exile Island” in lieu of “Redemption Island”. Article 3.5.1 shall apply to players sent to
Exile Island by any means.
2.9 - "EDGE OF EXTINCTION" CLARIFICATIONS AND RULE MODIFICATIONS
If after being voted out at Tribal Council the Survivor choses to go to "Edge of Extinction" (EOE) rather than choosing to leave the game,
they will be placed on the "EOE Tribe" and considered to still be in the game. If the player instead chooses to pass on the EOE offer
and leave the game, they will be awarded the "Out of Game" points. Players on the EOE island that decide to quit the game
(or are otherwise removed) will also be awarded the points. If in any episode the player voted out goes to EOE and no one else leaves
the game by any other means (quitting, medevac, eviction, etc.), then the "No Pick" selection will be awarded the "Out of Game" points.
If before going to EOE, or upon returning from EOE back into the main game, a player participates in the Challenges or is a correct answer
to the Mystery Question (while back in the main game), they will be eligible to receive points for those respective categories. Otherwise
players who start the episode already on the EOE island will NOT be eligible to receive points for the Reward or Immunity Challenges, the
Safe category, or for the Mystery Question (unless the MQ specifically states otherwise to include them). Competitions between players on
the EOE Tribe will not be scored as Challenges.
Players voted out at Tribal Council will not receive the Safe category points regardless of if they leave the game or choose to go to the EOE island.
If your MVP has been voted out and goes to EOE, they will be eligible to earn MVP Bonus Points for the various categories only as noted above. The Bonus Points
for "Out of Game" will only be awarded when they leave the game. Players on EOE can be selected as your MVP, however be aware that their opportunities to earn
MVP Bonus Points are limited unless the player returns from EOE back into the main game early in a particular episode.
2.10 - TIMEZONES
All posted deadlines and times such as Early Pick Deadline, Picks Deadline, etc. are based on the Eastern Timezone
3. Accumulating Points
Points will be awarded based on weekly votes. Each week you will be asked to vote on five (5) different categories. Each category will
be worth a point value. For each category that you pick correctly, you will win the points for that week.
3.1 - CATEGORY POINTS
The following are the point values for each of the five (5) categories...
1. Reward Challenge: 50 points before merger, 100 points after
2. Immunity: 50 points before merger, 100 points after
3. Voted Off: 100 points
4. Safe: 10 points x Episode Number
5. Mystery Question: 100 points before merger, 200 points after
3.2 - PERFECT PICK BONUS POINTS
Bonus points will be awarded if ALL of the questions for a given episode are answered correctly.
One hundred (100) Bonus Points will be awarded before the merger of the Tribes. Two hundred (200)
Bonus Points will be awarded after the merger.
It is possible that NO Survivors will slot a category during a given episode. In
that instance, the only way you can receive points for that category is if you chose No Pick for your selection.
3.2.1 - PERFECT PICK BONUS POINTS - FINALE
If your selection for the Finale was not chosen for the "Safe" category prior to the Finale, you will receive two hundred (200) Bonus Points.
3.3 - "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER" BONUS POINTS
Points will be awarded (10 points x Number of Episodes the "MVP" Pick remains the same) if your selection for "Most Valuable Player" wins in Categories 1, 2, 3 or 5 above. You will be awarded these
points for EACH category your selection for "Most Valuable Player" slots.
In the event a player fails to enter picks for any episode, their MVP selection for that episode will default to a "No Pick" selection resulting in zero (0)
MVP points awarded for that episode. The player's MVP selection will also be reset to the starting value of 10 points for the next episode that picks are entered.
No MVP points are awarded for the Safe category.
The MVP Bonus can be controlled by the Tribal Commissioners. A commissioner can elect NOT to participate in the MVP Bonus point system. To accommodate
Player and Tribe Rankings, lists can be displayed based on the use of this Bonus system.
3.3.1 - "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER" BONUS POINTS - FINALE
MVP Bonus Points are multiplied by 5 for the Finale. Thus, the longer your MVP selection has remained the same, the more valuable that selection will be for the Finale.
If your MVP selection remained the same since Episode 1 through the Finale, your MVP selection would be worth 150 points (10 points X total number of Episodes), and then multiplied by 5,
resulting in a total value of 750 points.
3.4 - EARLY PICK BONUS POINTS
The "Early Pick Bonus Points" feature helps reward those players who enter their picks early without the benefit of clues from
web sites or commercial spots.
Each episode will have an "Early Pick Cutoff Date". Traditionally, this occurs at 3:00 PM ET three (3) days before an episode airs, with the
exception of the Premiere Episode and the FINALE. However, the OFFICIAL Early Pick Cutoff Date will always be displayed on the "Enter My Picks" page and on the "My Picks" tab of the
Player Home Page.
If you enter your picks BEFORE this date, you will be eligible
to receive a 50% Bonus on any points you earned for that particular episode. Thus, if your Total Points equaled 500, you
would receive an "Early Pick Bonus" of 250 points. Alternatively, if you received 0 points, your "Early Pick Bonus" would ALSO
If you entered your picks BEFORE the "Early Pick Cutoff Date" but then proceed to CHANGE your picks after that date, you will
no longer be eligible to receive the "Early Pick Bonus".
The Early Pick Bonus can be controlled by the Tribal Commissioners. A commissioner can elect
NOT to participate in the Early Pick Bonus point system. To accommodate Player and Tribe Rankings, lists can be displayed based on
the use of this Bonus system.
3.5 - SCORING FOR THE FINALE
The scoring of the Finale will be as follows:
1. First Tribal Council: The FIRST Reward/Immunity/Voted Off/Safe/Mystery categories
2. Last Tribal Council: Who is the Winner of Survivor
3. Other Tribal Councils: ANY Reward/Immunity/Voted Off/Safe/Mystery categories AFTER the First Tribal Council and BEFORE "Who is the Winner of Survivor".
3.7 - MISCELLANEOUS
Points are awarded on an INDIVIDUAL basis. Even though at certain points in the game, an entire Tribe will win a
category, it is important to know that points are NOT awarded to Tribes.
Points will be awarded every episode in which a Survivor departs the show, no
matter the means by which they depart (voted off and no longer part of the game, carried off, emergency, etc.).
This means "Voted Off" picks and "Safe" picks will be
tabulated even if the Survivor was not literally "voted off". Reward and Immunity picks will only be
tabulated if they are still relevant (e.g., a reward challenge is still held).
The rules of Survivor allow individual immunity winners to give
away immunity to another tribe member. For the purposes of Fantasy Survivor scoring,
Immunity Points will ONLY be given for correctly selecting a player that WINS
Immunity via Immunity Challenge. NO POINTS will be given to the person that he/she subsequently gives it away to.
The game of Survivor introduces the possibility of finding or being given a Hidden Immunity necklace or idol.
NO POINTS will be awarded for Immunity if a player uses the Hidden Immunity necklace or idol, unless that player happens to have won the Immunity challenge in that
